How do you treat an oily scalp?
An oily scalp needs thorough scaling to clear excess sebum and buildup, then balancing care — not harsh stripping, which can make the scalp produce more oil. At Green Scalp Care in Myeongdong we check oil levels on a microscope, clear the follicles and finish with a balancing ampoule. Scalp Scaling is ₩110,000(+10% VAT).

Why stripping oil backfires
Washing with very strong shampoos twice a day can leave the scalp stripped and irritated — and it often responds by producing even more oil. Meanwhile oxidised sebum builds up around follicles, causing itch and odour and making hair look flat and thin.
We clear that buildup with scaling and deep cleansing, then use a balancing ampoule so the scalp is clean without being stripped. Heavy buildup may need a scalp detox. Oily scalps with thinning should also see our hair loss care.
